A single Kiger Mustang is shown in the profile in the center of the obverse bill, with its mane blowing freely in the breeze. The reverse features a bull body depiction of the Kiger Mustang reared back in mid-gallop, its front hooves in the air and its tail swishing as it travels across the Oregon landscape. The ornate security printing pattern surrounding the horse (layered with the background image) is based on the horse’s silhouette and the frame’s inner outline. These security features are subtly incorporated within the design for a secure and verifiable gold bill. The stunning Mustang Gram Bullion Aurum® Gold Bill contains 1 gram of 24 karat gold, modernizing gold investment and making it easier to collect and stack precious metals than ever before.

The Kiger Mustang is a strain of wild mustang horse found in southern Oregon. Descended primarily from horses that were transported to North America by Spanish explorers in the 1800s, these wild mustangs were thought to have disappeared from modern bloodlines until their rediscovery in 1977. Celebrated numismatic artist and wildlife illustrator Beth Zaiken created the intricate designs depicted on both sides. The artwork demonstrates the grace and grandeur exhibited by these majestic creatures as they roam across their native landscape.

The Mustang Gram Bullion Aurum® Gold Bill is a dual-sided printed piece with artwork on both sides, as well as a circular logo denoting that the product contains one gram of pure gold, making it easy to authenticate.

About Beth Zaiken

With her intricate designs and clear passion for the subject matter, artist Beth Zaiken is well known among numismatists. Her skills and interests have led her to numerous high-profile projects for the United States Mint, including multiple commemorative coin and medal designs. She’s also an award-winning illustrator who has completed projects for the Smithsonian, San Diego Zoo, and the New York State Museum, among others. In addition, Zaiken’s illustrations have been featured in world renowned publications, including Nature and the Scientific American.

Most of Zaiken’s illustrations showcase her lifelong fascination with the animal kingdom, from tiny invertebrates to large mammals to the extinct creatures that once roamed the earth. Her passion comes through in each brush stroke, and all of her projects demonstrate an ingrained love of the natural world. For these reasons, Zaiken was an obvious choice to illustrate our latest Aurum series. We reached out to her in the early days of developing this series, and we were overjoyed to receive an enthusiastic “yes” when we asked her to participate.

Orders are shipped fully insured and require a signature upon delivery. Packages can take, on average, 1-10 business days for delivery. The tracking number will be provided via email to you upon the date of shipment.

Are Aurum® legal currency?

Some Aurum® are legal tender currency in a specific jurisdiction, while the value of other Aurum® are based on the underlying value of the gold, or their collectibility. All Aurum® bear a legal tender notice, unless the particular product is clearly not a currency.

Can I request a custom design?

Yes. Custom designs are fulfilled by the manufacturer of Aurum®, Valaurum. They produce Aurum® for a variety of purposes including commemorative pieces and legal tender.
